Steven L. Snyder, who holds a Ph.D. in physics, joined the staff of the Franklin Institute in 2001 after serving as the director of science and director of attraction development at the Science City at Union Station/Kansas City Science Museum. At the Franklin Institute, he has overseen the development of 40,000 square feet of new, state-of-the-art, permanent exhibit space, including "Sir Isaac's Lost: Where Art & Physics Collide," "The Franklin Air Show," "KidScience," "Space Command," "The Train Factory" and "The Giant Heart: A Healthy Interactive Experience." Snyder is also responsible for the institute's floor programming, which includes daily science demonstrations and interactive activities.
