Conduit of Memory
I am the only child, the only one to receive traditions and stories, the only one to remember my parents as parents. I use photography to remember for me, but photography is nothing like a memory, it is only a decontextualized moment; the time it takes a shutter to open and close. These photographs are more like memory, capturing not a single moment, but several moments stacked on top of each other. They are complex and blurry and uncertain.
