This piece shows a naturalistic barn owl perching on a branch in a landscape of crystals with a wall of flat triangles rising up in the background. The flat forms and bright, unnatural colors of the environment juxtapose the owl's soft feathers and graceful stance, trapping it in a crystalline cage.
