Honeycomb Heaven
This work is an ikat, a tapestry weaving constructed on a loom. Bees and a honeycomb design were the main inspiration for this piece, and the warp for the project was hand dyed by painting directly on the yarn. This was a very technical process that took several weeks to complete with the majority of the time spent on the project completed outside of class time.
