Tree of Life

This piece is a depiction of the Jewish Tree of Life. Growing up, the "Tree of Life" song was always my favorite at religious school. Entering young adulthood, the Tree of Life has continued to be an important part of my connection to my Jewish identity. The Hebrew words depicted on the quilt are the beginnings of the song, and translate to "It is the tree of life to those who hold fast to it, and all of its supporters are happy."
