Exergame to Promote Active Learning for Young Learners

While watching learning movie contents, it has now become possible to interact with the learning video content by using the associated interaction devices of the popular set-top boxes like Apple TV, and game consoles. In popular learning movies such as Dora and SuperyWhy the main character uses various scenarios and present learning questions. However, the character then completes the answer and the viewers passively absorbs the learning content. Kids oftentimes may watch the long learning movies without taking any breaks. By pre-annotating the learning movies, we would like to propose exergame based interaction options in order to provide the learners the option to respond to the learning questions by using exercise moves and actively engage with the presented learning content. We describe the framework of the proposed learning movie system in our presentation.
