Quantum Entanglement of Photons

This project analyzes the phenomenon of quantum entanglement. Specifically, the case of dual-photon quantum entanglement is discussed with an emphasis on measuring the polarization of entangled photons. The limitations of entanglement have been tested using experiments that achieve higher and higher levels of isolation between entangled photons. The most common ways that entangled photons are created in these experiments is through the use of specialized crystals and spontaneous parametric down conversion. Results show that quantum entanglement does indeed occur between photons. These experiments present a strong foundation for furthering quantum-entanglement research.
