Synthesis of 3-Methylbutan-2,3-diol

Organosulfate esters have been detected in the atmosphere. The synthesis of 3-Methylbuten-2,3-diol Sulfate was attempted. The synthesis of this compound is being performed in order to aid in the identification, characterization, and quantification of potential organosulfate atmospheric pollutants.
