The Effect of Education and Interactions with Children on Students’ Perceived Comfort of Selecting Age-Appropriate Books
This project looked at the effect that education and interactions with children ages birth to three have on college students’ perceived comfort of selecting age-appropriate books. This project explored a language enrichment opportunity for students enrolled in Language Development. Participants were asked to complete a pre-survey regarding how comfortable they felt selecting age-appropriate books. Participants then received varying amounts of training about age-appropriate books and participated in the language enrichment experience at Kirksville’s Early Head Start. Later, a post-survey was conducted. The results of this project are of value to further improve the language enrichment experience.
