Contractarianism Ethics
Perspective-taking, also known as "putting yourself in others' shoes," is a commonly employed practice in various aspects of society for its practicality. Social contract theory is a prime example of a theory where perspective-taking plays a critical role. This project seeks to demonstrate the superiority of contractarian ethics, which is derived from social contract theory, over utilitarian ethics, deontological ethics, and care ethics because of the practicality it derives from its incorporation of perspective-taking.
