Temperature Effects on Pregnancy-Specific Protein B
Pregnancy Specific-Protein B (PSPB) is the industry standard for checking for pregnancy in cattle through blood tests. With temperature extremes that producers can experience during blood collection, protein degradation could cause mixed results in blood work costing producers time and money. Blood samples were drawn from the university herd and stored at different temperatures to see how the protein was effected.
