Uber Valuation Paper

This valuation paper aims to analyze Uber’s financial performance and accurately value the company accordingly. Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER) is a U.S. based technology company that offers services such as transportation, delivery, and more. Uber has been a major part in the ride sharing business since they went live in 2010, and continues to lead the industry. This paper will deep dive into these segments and evaluate their revenue, profitability, growth and growth opportunities, and related financial developments. There will be an array of valuation methods and supplementary data to back our thesis. This paper will also analyze close competitors in respective segments to compare and see where Uber stands in the industry. It will also discuss Uber’s market advantages that further differentiate it from the competition. Finally, an investment thesis will be provided on whether Uber should be bought, held, or sold according to its valuation.
