Queen Baby Cat

Lee Gardunia
Dr. Heidi Cook, Faculty Mentor

This platter features my cat Baby in a crown and royal robe surrounded by a sea of plants and flowers. Baby is the queen of our house, and so this work was made to pay tribute to her. The platter's form is in the shape of a gingko leaf, mirroring the leaves which dance around the exterior and the gingko tree branch that intersects the inner imagery. The gingko tree is a symbol of longevity and endurance; I want my Baby cat to live forever.
