Selections from the one-woman show, “BBW Seeks…”, presents an eclectic mix of ideas and images from the mind of writer/performer Earliana “Earl” McLaurin. From the trials and blessings of being plus sized, black and female, “BBW Seeks…” not only poses questions on the above issues, but also offers honest, witty, and at times brash answers to the seemingly “unanswerable”. For this effort, McLaurin reaches into her own past and present, as well as, utilizing a multitude of folk tales/ myths, statistics, and personal interviews in an attempt to flush out the perplexities of her own world.
