The User's Society
Christopher C. Duda
Dr. Natalie Alexander, Faculty Mentor

What does the Internet mean for an in individual? What is a user, and how does a user use virtual space differently than physical space. Does equality exist in the virtual realm? The web is a collection of many and often anonymous users. Their individuality is unbounded by their physical selves. Content is created, posted, and edited by users; those changes are recorded and virtual reality is forever changed for all users. Since making a connection on the Internet implies actually observing and noting the point, not just physical traits, people can get a stronghold and achieve virtual equality faster than the same efforts applied in the physical world. All humans can plow their way into the collective mentality that shapes the Internet and its interactions.
