Heather Raffo's play, 9 Parts of Desire, explores the beauty of Iraqi women and their role in Iraqi culture. Conceived as a one-woman show, 9 Parts showcases the resilience, strength, vulnerability, fears, struggles, and triumphs of nine Iraqi women of different walks of life. In this presentation, three women (Collins, Necka, and Scoggins) will each showcase three of the nine characters presented in the play through various monologues. Following the monologues will be a brief presentation of the dramaturgical support for the characters and a question-and-answer session.
