Towards  the  Development  of  Exergames to Promote Active Interaction with Learning Movie System

Aniruddha Biswas Atanu* and Ashik Dey Rupak
Dr. Kafi Rahman, Faculty Mentor

This research aims to address parental concerns regarding children's prolonged screen time during educational TV viewing. It proposes extending a learning movie system to include interactive elements, allowing learners to answer questions through physical poses and movements. The system will recognize user gestures in real-time, promoting active participation and providing necessary breaks for physical activity. Methodology involves setting up a camera, studying OpenCV for data processing, and utilizing YOLO for posture detection. The timeline spans 16 weeks, offering educational benefits including hands-on learning of GUI application development, machine learning technologies like YOLO, and research skills. The ultimate goal is to develop a device integrated with smart TV systems, facilitating both learning from popular educational shows and promoting physical exercise for children's health.
