Fraud in NonProfit Organizations

This research examines factors that influence the prevalence of fraud in nonprofit organizations. The researchers utilize a two-pronged approach to explore nonprofit fraud: (1) a comprehensive literature search and (2) a survey of nonprofit organizations. An analysis of the cases of nonprofit fraud reveals that fraud is a problem within our society. A survey was utilized to learn more about this problem. The research identifies the most common types of fraud and discusses them in terms of the “fraud triangle.” Finally, the project discusses the implications of these findings for leaders and directors of non profit organizations.
