Jacques Leguerney was an extrodinary twentieth century composer of French melodie. Little has been written about him or his music though it is similar in quality to such masters as Poulenc, Debussy and Ravel. A breif background on the life of the composer and his style will precede a performance of his Poemes de la Pleiade 8eme Recueil for voice and piano.
