Time Scales Calculus and Recurrence Relations
Evan D. Merrell
Dr. Jason E. Miller, Faculty Mentor
Time scales calculus is a unification and extension of differential and difference equations capable of dealing with both continuous and discrete time within the same problem. These dynamic equations can then be used for modeling such as seasonal populations, and for studying recurrence relations with irregular step size.
