Web Process and Design
Lindsey M. Allen* and Kimberly M. Ferrell
Ms. Daryl Fazio, Faculty Mentor

We would like to explore the process and execution of designing a functioning website for a business. We will discuss the background of producing a site, including preliminary sketches, brainstorming, market research and then how this will be later executed in the site through the exploration of our own personal sites. In addition, we will explore the differences between the types of web programs available and how they will affect the type of site you produce. In addition to the pre-process work, we will discuss production and design issues in reference to the goal topics that we determined through brainstorming. We will distinguish the role of a web programmer vs. web designer and explore the differences in backgrounds and how this effects the outcome of the site.
