The adjustment and self-esteem changes between international students who arrived in the U.S. more than one year and less were examined. Eighty international students participated in the study. A questionnaire was developed and filled out by the participants. Analysis of variance revealed statistically significant that international students who have been in the U.S. more than one year have better communication skills than those who are newly arrived. Additional analyses of variance were conducted, and the results and related issues were discussed.
