The field of communication disorders relies on constant change and innovation to provide appropriate and effective treatment for clients. The purpose of this project was to evaluate clinical uses of technology in speech and language therapy by student clinicians in the Truman State University CMDS department. A survey was developed to collect data regarding iPad applications used in therapy. Results of survey data were compiled and posted on the research group's website which serves to promote the use of innovative technology in speech and language therapy. The research group also beta-tested a vocabulary-building app, comparing the application to the current board game version, to help the developers improve the application's potential use in therapy and school settings.
