Photographic Printmaking Process
Michael K. Sistek
Prof. Jim Jereb, Faculty Mentor
I have always been captivated by photography and have recently found a fascination with printmaking. As a way to combine these two interests, I have started studying photographic printmaking. With photographic printmaking, a real focus is placed not only on the imagery, but also on the process of creating and printing the image. I will be utilizing basic and complex printing procedures that include photo-screenprint, photo-lithography, photo-intaglio, photo-relief, and cliché-verre. All the prints and images being made will highlight my cultural experiences I had in China this past summer with Trumans Study Abroad program.
