Food Insecurity in Adair County

The Pantry for Adair County has served Adair County for many years, yet food insecurity still affects many citizens. This program seeks to heighten Truman students’ awareness of food insecurity, as well as increase the likelihood of students donating to the Pantry. There will be a presentation about food insecurity and the Pantry for Adair County given to three groups of students. Participants for all three presentations are chosen based on convenience sampling. The intervention will be evaluated using pre/post tests. The University, philanthropic organizations, and future students can use the evaluations in future programs to increase food insecurity awareness and pantry donations.
