This presentation was originally a submission for the Gould Scholastic Award. Within, we discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the financial sector, as many of the services that financial institutions have traditionally offered their customers are no longer available due. Our group analyzes how over the next five years, we expect to see dramatic changes within the financial sector as regulators, customers, and financial institutions themselves adapt to this new normal. We examine the effects that technological advancements within the financial industry may have on how financial firms approach client engagement and business structure moving forward.
