How Mergers and Acquisitions Affect Stock Price

The purpose of this research paper is to analyze how mergers and acquisition affect a company stock price. By looking at 5 mergers and acquisitions of United States companies for more than 20 billions dollars, this article will evaluate the performance of acquiring companies and their stock price. Dependent variables include stock price change, ROA, ROE, Debt-Equity and EPS. In order to have the most relevant information, only mergers and acquisitions within the last three years will be considered.
