Synthesis of Organosulfate Esters

Organosulfate esters, which are pollutants, have recently been found to be present in the atmosphere. The synthesis of Glycolaldehyde Sulfate was attempted. This lab-created compound is intended to aid in the indentification and quantification of organosulfates in the atmosphere.
