Jenna N. Holzer
Dr. Hena Ahmad, Faculty Mentor
In Arundhati Roy?s novel The God of Small Things, Rahel and Estha struggle with how other people view them as a pair as well as how they view their own relationship. They share a special bond as twins, but both of them gained independent identities when they were separated. Nonetheless they maintained a strong bond through their emotions and thoughts and the audience learns the two should never be apart for too long. Through their relationship with each other we see that not only are they only twins, but soul mates.
