Elizabeth Schwartz♦*, Emma Trenhaile♦, and Jacqueline Gambino
Dr. Ilene Elmlinger and Dr. Janet Gooch, Faculty Mentors

Early Head Start is an early childhood education program that provides services to low-income families through federal and state funding. The purpose of this project is to develop an efficient protocol for Early Head Start language and hearing screenings. Tools were developed to assist graduate clinicians in administering the Early Language Milestones 2nd Edition and in making confident recommendations. The efficiency of these tools was analyzed, and the results can be used to determine the most adequate protocol for screening the Early Head Start population.
