Building and Analyzing an Analog Memristor

A memristor was modeled on the basis of fundamental relationship of charge with flux. Implementing the model, both types of memristor: current-controlled and voltage-controlled memristors were built in lab using different variable resistors: FET, Photoresistor, and Magnetoresistor. Each of these memristor showed a memory resistance (memristor) behavior that is: current-voltage characteristics with a pinched hysteresis bow tie like loop. However, due to the time lag of signal being received from the diode, Photoresistor did not strictly follow the fundamental relationship of charge with flux as a memristor. Thus, despite the bow tie like loop we obtained, the Photoresistor did not function as an ideal memristor.
