Human Trafficking in Missouri

Human Trafficking is known as modern slavery. This paper takes a look at "Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act of 2000, the first federal law to protect victims of trafficking. It looks at the agenda setting, formulation and implementation of the policy. Thereafter the policy is evaluated. The policy was implemented in order to combat trafficking of people. After the development of the policy is mapped out, the focus turns to the issue of Human Trafficking in Missouri specifically. It looks at the implementation of the policy in counter-trafficking work within Missouri from a sociological/anthropological perspective.
