Drummer in a Box: A History and Demonstration of Electronic Percussion

In order to gain a better understanding of the drumset players’ role in today’s modern music industry, research has been done on the history of electronic percussion and how it has been used in commercial music. The Roland V-Drum instrument was utilized for gaining a basic understanding of how one type of electronic percussion works. A demonstration will be given on the V-Drums to culminate the presentation.
