Kate Zimmerman*, Jennifer Kremer, and Laura Gilmer
Dr. Carla Smith and Dr. Jeremy Houser, Faculty Mentors
The purpose of this study was to test to see if there is a difference in balance between children with autism and children without autism of the same age. The balance capabilities were assessed using a variety of balance tasks, including field tests and a machine called the Balance Master. The subjects were children diagnosed with autism in the age range of 5 to 8. A control group of children of the same age range without autism was used. Results will be assessed and compared between the two groups.
