Business in Germany and America: A Cultural Analysis
Kinsey Coker
Ms. Andrea Davis, Faculty Mentor

In an era of increasing globalization it is imperative that business professionals today have not only an understanding of good business practices, but also an understanding of other business cultures. This paper analyzes the similarities and differences of German and American business and consumer culture. An understanding of both cultures' historically-based value systems clarifies the business practices and spending decisions made by the individuals of these respective cultures. Once clarified, both societies can be better understood in terms of their respective reaction to the current economic recession.
