Information technology is becoming a key driving force in many companies in the United States. Many companies are using IT as a resource for their future business and accomplishments. IT has caused many changes in American society by empowering businesses in their everyday activities. However, the use and development of IT is still new and unfamiliar to some countries, such as Albania. Albania is one of the poorest countries in Europe, and the development of IT has lagged behind for the Albanian community as compared to its neighbors. Currently, Albania is trying to incorporate IT in its organizations and day-to-day activities. In this paper, several factors are identified that impact the development and prevention of IT in Albania, such as education, little internet access, computer illiteracy, lack of technology, poor infrastructure, lack of funds, the lack of special training for IT professionals, and managerial ineffectiveness. This project analyzes these factors in-depth and looks at how Albanians feel about changing the current situation.
