Scott J. Lowry
Dr. Ian Lindevald, Faculty Mentor

One objective for the field of Biomechanics is to analyze the forces exerted on and within the human body during movement. These forces were studied with special attention given to the activities of skiing, golf, and running. The equipment and methods used to measure these forces will be discussed, as well as how continued research in Biomechanics has influenced the design of footwear to meet the needs of skiers and runners.
