Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program: Programming in the Senior Housing Setting

Members of the Health Science Honorary Fraternity Eta Sigma Gamma were trained and certified by the Arthritis Foundation to conduct the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program (AFEP), a seated or wheelchair exercise course, for those with arthritis. Six, one-hour long AFEP classes were then taught by Gammans to persons with arthritis at an area senior housing complex.
