Adair County, Missouri Health Services Assessment
Erin K. Black
Dr. Janice Clark Young, Faculty Mentor

The Adair County Health Services Assessment was designed to analyze and evaluate the existing women's, children's, and infant's health services in Adair County, Missouri. The county's evaluation included continued analysis of the Northeast Missouri Rural Health Assessment Project (NEMO R-HAP) data, an individual survey randomly distributed to parents, and comparisons between perceived and actual health concerns for the county. Data collection also includes local, state, and national statistics and demographic information for further analysis. The final results will create a profile of the top health concerns for Adair County and the potential methods for service improvement and implementation. A project portfolio with contact information, resources, data analysis, and health program examples will be distributed to local health care providers, health departments, and health personnel in Adair County in hopes of improving the overall health of the area’s women, children and infants.
