How do class sizes affect the success students are having in the classroom in schools?
Previous research shows more student involvement, specialized attention, and customized teaching strategies are some of the benefits associated with smaller class sizes. Further, evidence suggests smaller class sizes could create a feeling of community and make it easier for instructors to regulate the classroom, making the learning atmosphere more concentrated and effective. Although curricular impact, effectiveness of teachers, and resources are important considerations for student learning outcomes, there is still broad support for class size reduction since it improves student accomplishments. Thus, the purpose of this study is to assess the impact of reduced class size on student learning. To further investigate this issue, the researcher will use multiple methods, such as a literature review and qualitative interviews with teachers. This presentation will explore the results gathered and the implications of this results on student learning experiences.
