Cubane: Synthetic Boxing

Cubic structures are found in many areas of biology and chemistry but are only seen with metal complexes. Cubic structures that are purely organic were thought to be impossible until a complete synthesis was found in 1967. To do further research and functionalize the molecule, the synthetic scheme needs to be perfected first.
