Applied Strategies in Arts Leadership: an Analysis of the Truman Theatre Department
This ongoing project is an in-depth analysis of the Truman State University Department of Theatre. Based on market research generated through online patron feedback surveys following regular theatre season performances during the spring of the 2020-21 season, this research serves as a part of the department’s effort to become more data-based in their future administrative processes including identifying areas for growth in public relations, recruitment, and patron engagement initiative efforts. The data gathered focused on demographics, satisfaction/ratings, publicity efforts, ticket pricing, and potential pursuits. This statistical analysis of the data informed recommendations made by the authors to the faculty of the Theatre Department.
