Analysis of Missouri Assessment of College Health Behaviors (MACHB) Survey
The Assessment Committee of Student Public Health Association has been conducting an analysis of the Missouri Assessment of College Health Behaviors (MACHB) survey. The survey is conducted annually by the Missouri Partners in Prevention (MOPIP) with 21 Missouri schools sampled. At each participating university, respondents are randomly sampled and the survey is sent via an online platform. Focusing on Truman only, trends have indicated an increase of riskier behaviors in categories including interpersonal violence, illegal drugs, and alcohol use since 2015. In addition, an examination of all MACHB survey categories (policy and program, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, driving, interpersonal violence, wellbeing, and mental health, sexual health, and stress) will be presented, specifically focusing on data collected since 2016. Future outcomes from exploring the data include developing and implementing educational programs and resource materials to improve health promotion at Truman.
