Secrecy and Scientology

The presentation will explore the role of secrecy within The Church of Scientology. The primary role of this presentation will be to examine how The Church of Scientology uses secrecy in order to recruit and control its members as well as organize the internal hierarchy of the organization. This will be done by describing common tactics The Church of Scientology uses to accomplish these goals and then explain how they fit into various academic theories on the uses of secrecy, imagination, and mystery.
