Prof. Sal Costa, Faculty Mentor
In today's society, the majority of college students have cell phones with internet capabilities and various social applications. To test the hypothesis that more time spent using these "apps" is negatively correlated with student grade point average (GPA), participants will be asked to complete an online questionnaire and demographics form where they will indicate their usage of social applications and GPA. Related questions will also be included such as student involvement, study habits, and daily routines. For example, participants will be asked to state whether they consider themselves to be an introvert or extrovert, how many "apps" they have downloaded onto their phone, and how often they interact with other application users.
