Does ADHD Really Exist: A Hidden Phenomenon in the Field of Medicine

It is undeniably dismal remembering a close childhood friends progress throughout his experiences with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), especially after seeing the results of treatment. At the time it was a completely legitimate disorder, however, within recent years many experts in the field have begun to speculate its justifiability and some have concluded that ADHD in fact does not exist. Following the release of renowned psychiatrist Dr. Richard Saul's book in 2014, "ADHD Does Not Exist: The Truth About Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder", countless individuals diagnosed with the disorder, along with professionals in psychology, have both heavily agreed with and opposed his claim. Research over the past decade has provided substantial evidence supporting Saul's claim, much of it pointing toward the unnecessary dependence and addiction to powerful prescription drugs. In observing opinions of credible doctors and their statistical evidence, the notion of ADHD's non-existence becomes not just an insult to diagnosed individuals but a realistic assertion with scientific confirmation.
