Haley I. Delgado
Dr. Paul Shapiro and Dr. Anton Daughters, Faculty Mentors
This study focuses on the perceptions and beliefs regarding prostitution and human trafficking of today's young adults. Through a descriptive analysis of survey answers of Midwestern college age students, the audience will be able to see the connections of sex, race, age, years of schooling, and area of study to the issues of prostitution and human trafficking. The study shows that there is a statistically significant difference between men and women who are asked if prostitution should be legalized. The majority of men are in favor of its legalization whereas women are not. By contrasting this finding to other questions posed in the survey, the audience will be made aware of the statistically significant and socially significant findings of the research.
