Sabrina M. Gilliard
Dr. Hena Ahmad, Faculty Mentor
In The Shadow Lines Ghosh draws parallels between the construction of geo-political borders, the "shadow lines," and that of personal/ private circumscribed boundaries that separate individuals one from another. This paper examines the challenge Ghosh proposes to his readers to do away with the shadow lines that divide individuals and nations, and to transcend "man made" borders and cultural differences.
