Tattoos vs. Gender Roles
Neesa R. Ross
Dr. Anton Daughters, Faculty Mentor

The title of the paper being presented is Tattoos vs. Gender Roles. The core argument is that the increased popularity of tattoos among western women today has led to a challenge of traditional gender roles while at the same time putting their health at risk. Research shows that an increased number of women are decorating their bodies with tattoos, a practice that has led to increased cases of the skin condition granulomatous. The research, also, examines existing gender roles and how they are redefined by the women who are increasingly adorning their bodies with tattoos.
