It is a well known fact that strong emotions can be experienced from being exposed to artistic works. When one observes music or art, he or she experiences pleasure. This pleasure may help choose a potential mate that has the best genes because they can produce the music and art that give pleasure. This pleasure may function as an incentive to work in groups; it enhances and promotes the experience humans get from bonding with one another. Even still more likely, this pleasure acts as positive reinforcement to guide the development of the visual and auditory regions of the brain so it is possible to get the most out of the environment.
